CNY Communications Consortium
Application Process
The 2009 Central New York Communications Consortium (CNYCC) will be held April
13—15, at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. To obtain interviews
with
employers that interest you, you will need to follow these steps:
Create an Account
You will need to create a CNYCC-specific account and profile before you can
view job descriptions or submit resumes; your Cornell CareerNet username and password
will not work on this site.
- Link to the CNYCC home page … Students … Create
account … enter Password Token. When creating an account, be sure that you do
not assign yourself the same username and password that you use for your Cornell
CareerNet account.
Review Job Descriptions
- To search on type of position (full-time jobs or internships), point your mouse
on Jobs and Internships … Job/Internship search … Job (or Internship) radial …
Search. A full list of employers offering that type of opportunity will appear.
Or, to search by employer, point your mouse on Employers … Employer search … then,
search by specific employer name or industry.
- To view the job description, link through the job title. To view the employer
profile, link through the employer name.
- Each time you want to return to the CNYCC site to review jobs or submit materials,
you will need to login through the CNYCC home page; you cannot login through your
Cornell CareerNet home page.
Submit Resumes and Cover Letters Online by March 13, 11:59 pm
- Upload resume and cover letter(s) as Word or PDF documents in preparation
for submitting applications; you will not see an application option in the job
description until the documents are uploaded. Make sure that you have a specific
cover letter for each position for which you are applying. You must submit a cover
letter for each position, even if this is not mentioned in the job description.
Notification
You will be notified by email if you are selected as a primary or alernate candidate.
Primary candidates are assigned interview
dates and times; alternate candidates will be assigned interviews only if primary
candidates decline an interview.
