Career Fairs and Events
A variety of recruiting events—from large employer career fairs to more intimate consortia where interviewing may occur—give students and employers an opportunity to learn more about each other.
Students can gather information on employers and their job opportunities well before they are ready for the formal recruiting process, and can make excellent contacts if they're already engaged in a job search. Employers get the chance to meet many students and form impressions of them in person, outside of the interview setting. Employers can often entice outstanding students to submit resumes for their positions.
