Travel to and from Ithaca

Parking on Campus
Visitor parking is very limited, so we suggest that you use one of the transportation services listed below to go to and from campus. If you choose to park, you should stop at a traffic control booth to get a map of campus parking areas and purchase a one-day permit. Career Offices do not control any dedicated parking spots.

Please note also that many lots are restricted from 5:00 until 10:00 pm. If you are planning an evening information session, check with the group sponsoring your session for best parking locations.

Local Transportation
Several local hotels provide transportation to and from the airport, as well as to and from campus. When not provided by the hotel, transportation is available from:

Accommodations
Several local hotels offer special rates for employers visiting Cornell:

The Courtyard Ithaca by Mariott is located near the Ithaca airport (10 minutes from campus), and offers shuttle service to and from anywhere in Ithaca, as well as free internet and printing. For reservations call: 866/541-3600 and ask for the Cornell rate of $125 per night.

The Best Western University Inn is located in East Hill Plaza (5 minutes from campus), and offers shuttle service to and from the airport and campus. For reservations call: 800/937-8376 and ask for the Cornell rate of $79-89 per night.

The Hilton Garden Inn is located downtown Ithaca (10 minutes from campus), and offers shuttle service to and from the airport and campus. For reservations call Kelli Cartmill at: 607/277-8900 and ask for the Cornell rate of $127-135 per night.

La Tourelle Resort and Spa is locted on Route 96B (10+ minutes from campus), and offers shuttle service upon advanced request to and from the airport and campus. For reservations call: 800/765-1492 and ask for the Cornell Corporate rate of $99 per night.

The Statler Hotel is located on campus and offers shuttle service to and from the airport. For reservations call: 800/541-2501 and ask for the Cornell Recruiter rate of $195 per night. 

Other accommodations—both in national chains and in local facilities including bed and breakfasts—are available nearby. Information is maintained by the Ithaca Tompkins Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Dining
If you would like to have lunch on campus, your career office can give you specific information. Ithaca has a wide variety of restaurants, both downtown and in Collegetown, the business district near the Cornell campus.
