Employer Database and Employer Directory
An online searchable database informs students what employers will attend the career fairs. During the registration process, you'll enter a description of your organization and other information you'd like students to have in advance of the events (target audiences; work authorization requirements; hiring needs; etc.). You'll also enter a more concise employer overview (650-character maximum) for inclusion in a printed directory distributed to students at the career fair. Please prepare both entries in advance of registration; you will not have the opportunity to revise information once registration is complete. Inclusion in the Employer Directory is limited to employers whose registration is approved by August 25.
Employers can also promote their organizations by advertising in the Career Fair Supplement of The Cornell Daily Sun, published on Tuesday, September 8. Materials must be copy-ready and are due by Tuesday, September 1.
To reserve space in the Supplement, contact:
The Cornell Daily Sun
Receive a discount on an advertisement in the 2015-2016 Career Guide, the OFFICIAL career publication of Cornell Career Services. With a circulation of 10,000 and bonus distribution at University Career Fair Days 2015, the Career Guide will deliver your unique recruitment message to the Cornell community. You can view ordering information online but contact Hector Barrera by email or phone (812/335-1260) for the discount code in advance of placing an order.
Student Agencies offers postering and other services.
See Advertising and Promotion for other ideas related to increasing on-campus visibility and company presentations.
Student attendance at the University Career Fair Days has increased steadily over the past five years. Employers consistently tell us they speak with 100—150 students per day.

Booths and Displays
Your space at the Career Fair allows room for a floor display no more than 8' in length. A 3'x6' table, tablecloth, and 3 chairs are provided. Employers are expected to adhere to the space allotted. Requests for the limited number of oversize spaces will be considered on a first-come, first served basis and must be discussed in advance with the Registration Coordinator. In all cases, employers will be assessed an extra fee if space usage exceeds the allotment.
Cornell Career Services and employers participating in University Career Fair Days must adhere to all health, safety, and fire codes and regulations for event management as stipulated by Environmental Health & Safety.
There is limited access to electrical outlets in the facility so we encourage you to bring displays that do not require electricity. We will try to run extensions to all employers who indicate a need for electricity; but cannot guarantee this service. If you would like electricity, please be sure to indicate that on your registration form. Remember that you will need to bring your own heavy duty extension cord.
There are no network/internet connections in Barton Hall. Wireless service is usually available, although not guaranteed.
Recruiters are responsible for setting up and tearing down displays, unpacking and repackaging materials, and arranging for return shipping; for details, refer to "Shipping." Career Fair booths may be set up the morning of events, from 8:00—10:00 am, or the evening before events, from 5:00-7:00 pm.
To assist employers in scheduling corporate presentations or information sessions that do not conflict with competitors' events, Cornell Career Services pre-approves dates for information sessions. Please contact Demetra Dentes via email or 607/255-7464 with date preferences before contacting the Statler Hotel or ILR Conference Center.
A light breakfast and a buffet luncheon are included in the registration fee. Box lunches are available, upon request, for recruiters who are not able to leave their tables for the lunch buffet. A vegetarian option is offered.
Parking On Campus
You may drive to the loading zones on the north and west sides of Barton Hall to unload your materials. A staff member will assist you by bringing your materials to your booth. Due to high traffic and the lack of long-term parking in the area, you must move your vehicle to the designated permit areas immediately after unloading.
All area hotels offer a shuttle service, which is the most convenient way to avoid parking issues.
On the morning of each fair event, parking permits will be available at the parking table located near the check-in table. Participants who wish to pick up permits in advance can do so between the hours of 5:00—7:00 pm at Barton Hall on the prior evening. All vehicles parked on-campus must display a permit; otherwise, vehicles may be towed.
We will provide shuttle service between parking areas and Barton Hall.
