Paralegal Employment

There is high demand for paralegals, and no previous training nor certification is typically required. Positions are available at law firms, nonprofit organizations, and government departments.

The law careers page provides links to websites listing law firms and other organizations that hire paralegals. In your cover letter and resume, emphasize skills employers will be seeking: organizational, writing, research, and analytical; and an ability to learn quickly and multi-task.

Some employers to consider are Coudert Brothers; Cravath, Swaine & Moore; the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office; and the U.S. Department of Justice.
