Where to Begin

A one- or two-year position or other experience may be right for you, especially if you can answer "yes" to any of the following questions:

  • Does the year following graduation look like a great time for travel, making a contribution through a service experience, or something else you'd like to do?
  • Do you feel like you need time to figure out what you really want to do and gain some perspective on your life goals?
  • Would one or more relevant experience enhance your applications for employment or graduate school?
  • Do you need a break before entering graduate school?
  • Can you identify with statements like these?
  • I think I want to be a teacher, but I'm not really sure.
  • I'm interested in both law school and graduate school in government, but I don't know which I prefer.
  • Now that I've taken the MCAT and made it through almost four years of being a premed, I'm not sure I want to go to medical school after all.
