Telling Your Story
An important aspect of your career development is learning to "tell your story" effectively. At various times you will need to present yourself to potential members of your career network, to prospective employers, to graduate or professional school admissions committees, and others.
Staff members in Career Services are eager to help you learn to use the tools available to prepare your "elevator pitch," write resumes that are targeted for your career goal, craft strong cover letters, develop personal statements for applications, and hone your interviewing skills. Give yourself plenty of time to create and revise these documents so you will make a positive impression on those who receive your materials.
