Researching
Think of your job search as a research project. You need to understand your options by learning about employers, job openings, credentials being sought, etc. before you can focus on a particular employer or job and prepare your targeted application materials.
Cornell Career Services provides or links you to extensive resources to help you conduct this research. Visit the Career Library in 103 Barnes Hall. The library has general and international job bulletins, information on internships, volunteer opportunities, and career exploration possibilities. In conjunction with the Johnson's Career Management Office we maintain a subscription to Career Insider (powered by Vault) to help with your career research.
Conduct a key-word search of the Library's holdings to find materials that will help you with your research. Also visit other libraries at Cornell. The Johnson Library, for instance, has access to many powerful employer databases. Hoover's and CareerSearch are two of our favorites.

- J.W Saxe Fund Network/Resources for Public Service
The J.W. Saxe Memorial Fund provides scholarships annually to one or more undergraduate or graduate students working in public service. The award is meant to enable the student to gain practical experience in public service by taking a no-pay or low-pay job during a summer or other term.

As the field school for environmental organizing, seeks people who are serious about saving the planet, have experience working with environmental or social change issues, and have demonstrated leadership experience. International Field Studies, Inc. is a nonprofit organization promoting science education and research since 1970. IFS provides students with the unique opportunity for hands-on, outdoor, environmental education. Offering trips that range in length from one week to one semester, subjects such as marine biology, botany, ornithology, geology, archaeology, oceanography, or ichthyology can be covered individually as areas of specialization or comprehensively in a broad overview of subtropical ecology.There are many topics to be explored in the social sciences as there is a rich culture and interesting history embodied in the people the island.
